language; it's hard to find information about Skwierzyna if
you unfortunately don't speak Polish, like me:-(
We will visit
Skwierzyna the second time in a row this summer and are really
looking forward after the great experience last year; making
holiday in the south we have been to Poland the first time last
year and hardly can imagine to go anywhere else.
We love the
Warta, the wide landscape, the lakes, the city, the small
surrounding villages and the people.

Komentarz: Hi. I'm looking for my relatives in
Skwierzyna. My grandfather was polish and his name was Stanislaw
Miklaszewski. He came to Llavallol, Buenos Aires, Argentina in
1948 (after WWII) with his wife Pia Boattini, my grandmother. All
I know is that his two brothers, Kazimierz and Edward lived in
Skwierzyna until 1965. I would be very glad if you can help me in
some way to find them or someone of their family. Thank you very
much!!

this town. They left during the war and the last name is now
Roschat but may have been Resat or Riesat. The mother's name was
Augusta with children names Ernest, Edmund, Ziegfried. If you
speak english and know where I can find information please email

trying to locate iny information possible on my mother, Martha
Johanna Kuschick. She was born in Scherin and der Warthe in 1921.
She attended school at the catholic school and the gymnasium. Her
parents - Gregor and Anna Kuschick.

Mieszkalem w róznych miastach w Polsce. Duzych i malych. W
kazdym zostawilem okruch serca. W Skwierzynie zostawilem cale
serce. I po latach gdy ide Aleja Kasztanowa - na której codziennie
spotykalem swoja milosc - stare zuzyte serce niebezpiecznie
zaczyna stukac jak za dawnych czasów. Niech ten stukot odkupi
miniony czas, wspaniale wspomnienia, wielkie uniesienia, radosc i
smutek. I dla mojego serca nie bedzie to jakas zwykla alejka w
jakims zwyklym miasteczku , o którym malo kto wie. Dla mnie bedzie
to zawsze miejsce w którym umarl chlopiec - a narodzil sie
mezczyzna. Takie zdarzenie dzieje sie tylko raz w zyciu . I nigdy
nie powtórzy sie w historii czlowieka.

miasta,podczas szperania na niemieckich stronach internetowych
znalazlem ciekawostke. Gustav Boese (zlo) ur.19 March 1878 w
Schwerin nad Rzeka Warta; zm. 1943 w Berlinie) byl niemieckim
malarzem, zajmowal sie malowaniem drzew, krajobrazu, portów i
prostego zycia rolników, rybaków. Najbardziej znanym synem miasta
Schwerin jest muzyk Johann Gottfried Piefke (1817-1884), który
miedzy innymi ulozyl marsza Gloria Prusy. Gloria Prusy
prawdopodobnie jest obecnie najbardziej popularnym marszem
wojskowym, do krórego maszeruje niemiecka Bundeswehra. Zalaczam
linka z wymienionym marszem i zycze milego sluchania.

Chetnie zamienie pare zdan z kims kto zna miasto z lat 60tych
mieszkalem z rodzicami w latach 50-67 w Skwierzynie,najpiekniejsze

Komentarz: l really like your site. It shows the town
as it really is and not in an unrealistic way, which is often the
case with town websites. I was in Skwierzyna to
canoe on the River Obra and loved the week I spent in the town and near Skwierzyna. Skwierzyna is a great little town, which I recommend
to all. Next
year I will return to spend time cycling in the area. And maybe
pick some Borowik mushrooms in the forest.
There are also some very pretty girls in the town. Unfortunately
the ones I spoke to disn't speak much or any English!
