German Cemetery

Skwierzyna, Poland

  This is the smaller of the two Christian cemeteries in Skwierzyna. The cemetery consists both of graves from the pre-1945 German history of the town and Polish graves from 1945 to around 1970. The cemetery is not now used for burial and is currently in a rather sad state of neglect.

Prior to the border changes which took place in 1945, the town of Skwierzyna, Lubuskie, Poland, was Schwerin an der Warthe, Brandenburg / Posen province, Germany. See also: Jewish cemetery.
